Taylorisms – Terminology
Confused about all the specialized terminology surrounding Taylor Hicks? Here’s a quick guide to get you up to speed.

Cellcert: A concert heard through the phone, conferenced to two or more people. Cheersing: Cheering while boozing.

Full Woo: 1. Feeling the full effect of a Taylor Hicks performance. 2. An altered state of consciousness resulting from a Taylor Hicks performance.

Gray Charles: 1. An early Nickname given to Taylor Hicks, referring to his Gray Hair, and affinity for Ray Charles. 2. The official blog of Taylor Hicks.

Harp: A much cooler word for Harmonica. (Blues Harp).

Hickism: A physical gesture or spoken phrase originating from Taylor Hicks.

Hicklett : A small child who is a Taylor Hicks Fan.

Hicks Fix: A required dose of  Taylor Hicks performance.

IHOTS- Acronym for “International House of Taylor”, which are Taylor Hicks fans from outside the US.

Modern Whomp: A new style of music, which includes but is not limited to a blend of Soul, Jazz, Country, Cajun, and Southern Rock.

Soul Patrol: The name given to the fanbase of Taylor Hicks.

Tagging: The act of inserting a section of a song into another song, and typically returning to the original song.

Taylorized: 1. The adaptation of a song by Taylor Hicks to fit his style. 2. Becoming a Taylor Hicks Fan.

Taymo: Short for “Taylor moment” A random mention, parody, or joke about Taylor Hicks in the media.

Thud: The act or suggestion of fainting, or hitting the floor as a sexual or emotional reaction to Taylor Hicks. 2. The act of writing a sexually or emotionally charged missive concerning Taylor Hicks.

Way-back laugh: A hearty laugh characterized by tilting and/or throwing back the head. A phrase coined by Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson to describe a particular Taylor Hicks laughing style.
